Double buffer PTM Walking Floor System for foil flake

As usual in this type of installation, it is a “tailor-made” solution. The construction bureau of PTM Polska and this time designed a system tailored to the customer's expectations. The buffer consists of two independent chambers, with a moving floor installed in each, of course. This allows the two waste processing lines to be fed at a rate adapted to the operation and demand of each line. Thanks to the tight separation of the space of each chamber, the load placed in one chamber does not come into contact with the load from the other chamber. This allows working with different types of materials at the same time without the risk of mixing loads.

An additional challenge for PTM Polska's constructors, in this project, was the limited space in the production facility. That's why the structures were placed on nearly 4m high support legs. As a result, the unit does not occupy such valuable, in this case, floor-level space. Each chamber has a capacity of about 45m3. Loading is done from the top, and the unloading space is adapted for use with conveyor belts. The moving floor systems are powered by a hydraulic power pack with two pumps, so the moving floors can operate independently at the same time.
